Hello Folks,
I pulled up in Amarillo, TX tonight about 4 hours short of Hobbs, NM. There is no sense of urgency ... I have ample time to acquire what I need in Hobbs.
The drive from just beyond Chicago to this point follows old Route 66 ... at this point my journey will take me south, away from the route and finally a bit west.
The old route was built parallel to the existing rail line ... the existing rail line was built to follow the old horse and wagon trails ... the old horse and wagon trails were once Indian trails ... which were animal migratory routes that followed the water and the seasons ... not so much a circle of life so much as it's pendulum.
A friend of mine, who we will refer to here as, 'deep flake', sent me a link to an interactive map of UFO sightings .... the original article with maps is here ... the site the data was gathered from can be found here ...
What I find interesting is what happens when you superimpose Route 66 on the first map ... if I had an Intuos Tablet I could draw it on the map ... basically it heads south from Chicago and gradually arcs SW and then West .... see an image of it here ...
The density of sightings is higher than the median all along the Route .. if you were linear regress this, you would have a plot of those points that would cover the whole route from Chicago to LA ...
A lot of these of course will have explanations that are not UFO related ... meteor showers, military exercises, meteorological events, etc. However if one were so inclined to 'think outside the box' ... let me offer something like this .... the earth, the planets, all the planets in the universe are, very simply, stardust ... an image worth a 1000 words is here ...
If the star is the right size the resulting neutron star which has all the elements heavier than Hydrogen and Helium will disintegrate in spectacular fashion and planet formation will begin.
So our planet is a collection of all these heavier elements, shaken and stirred by geologic events over the eons ... and our planet is still 'rocking and rolling' but on a time scale that supports life ...
Now what if Route 66 has below it ... in the earths crust ... a higher than normal concentration of heavy elements .. elements that have a clear signature .. elements that are decaying and releasing decay products ... and what if these decaying elements are similar to landing lights at any airport ... i.e., to those that can read them ... like, possibly animals, birds .... 'others' that can read the signature ..here is your approach path ... now I am not saying where the 'landing' strip is ... but let's say the bulk of Route 66 is the approach ... might not this be an explanation for some of the reported activity along this route .... as well the genesis for the creation of the original route by the migrating animals themselves ... yes ... might it not be ...
Tomorrow I intend to investigate Palo Duro Canyon ... there is a small possibility I can obtain there what I need for Roswell ... failing that, I will obtain it in Hobbs for sure ... I have not been able to do any picture taking because I have been focused on driving ... that changes tomorrow ...

Oh yeah ... the winged menace was out there today ... it's tailing and trailing along ... we'll see if I can catch it on camera tomorrow ...
